Re-blogged from Paulette Mahurin’s blog:
Getting dogs out of kill shelters | The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap.
All profit from Paulette’s books got to the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center – Support No Kill Animal Shelters (https://www.facebook.com/santapaulaarc?pnref=story)
This was posted by Paulette Mahurin’s friend Michelle Gent in the U.K. It’s too precious not to share and poignant that they were separated. And who says dogs don’t have emotions?
“This brother and sister dual, Xena and Zach, were rescued from a kennel, but separately. One day the owners were walking the dogs, and they ran into each other … still wearing the hankies from the kennel around their necks. This is how they greeted each other.”
All profits from all Paulette’s books are going to get dogs like this out of kill shelters.
The paperback of To Live Out Loud should be out in a week.

Bless you for your continued loving and supportive heart. I’m grateful for any attention I can get to help get dogs out of kill shelters. My first book, The Persecution of Mildred Dunlap, has donated all it’s profits and will continue to do so to the first and only no kill shelter in Ventura County, where I live (http://sparcsaveslives.org/). My second book, His Name Was Ben is donating all its profits to the largest non-profit dog rescue in the area where I live, Canine Adoption Rescue League (http://www.carldogs.org/). They have a program that gets elderly dogs out of kill shelters so they can live their senior years in comfort. My husband and I have done volunteer work with them for close to 18 years. My last and most recent book, To Live Out Loud, is donating all profits to sponsor getting dogs out of several kill shelters in the United States.
I humbly thank you Christoph and anyone else who shines a light on helping all living creatures who can’t help themselves and who don’t have a voice for themselves, whether it be purchasing my book, donating, rescuing, fostering, or simply spreading the word.
Love,
Paulette
